The history of the Andrade family began in 1901, on the Capim Branco farm, in Carmo do Paranaíba, Alto Cerrado, Minas Gerais state. With the aim of producing high quality coffees, the new generation of the Andrade family established their farms in this region during the 1970s. Combined with the natural conditions of the region, proper crop management, crop planning and post-harvest with criteria of selection of cherries, beans and natural drying, the results are beans of excellent quality, awarded and appreciated worldwide. The volcanic soils are perfect for growing the Yellow Icatu, Yellow Catuaí and Red Catuai varieties, which thrive here and account for the majority of the farm's yield. The best natural coffee beans in Brazil are produced here. In 1991, on the initiative of twelve producers, who foresaw the opportunities that investing in coffee quality would bring, they founded the BSCA (Brazilian Specialty Coffee Association) which supports all small coffee producers in the region, not only that, it also helps producers to improve quality, which improves sustainability. Helping producers to reach importers around the world with organic coffee is another activity that BSCA does. We are proud to say that we are founders of BSCA. They founded an export company, which means that they have a direct relationship with their customers, shipping the coffee from origin under Direct Trade to our roaster.
